Villa Mandorlo-F09

Villa Mandorlo, a beautifully restored estate, is located in the Chianti, about 20 km southwest of Florence. It sleeps up to 13 persons.  This country manor house offers accommodations for a large party with six bedrooms and three bathrooms. With typical Tuscan brick and beamed ceilings, stucco walls and polished stone floors, Villa Mandorlo provides a restful and luxurious country retreat, with easy access to Florence and the vineyards of the Chianti. Surrounded by its own private gardens and shaded terraces, the Villa enjoys spectacular views of the Chianti countryside.

From the elegant country garden one enters a large, comfortably furnished living room with a massive stone hearth, high ceilings and grand views of the valley from large windows. The heart of the house is the fabulous country kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, and plenty of counter space so that several cooks can share the honors.

Just off the kitchen is a large dining room/library, perfect for elegant dinner parties.  The six spacious bedrooms are upstairs (three with double beds and two with two twin beds and one with three twins).  Each of the bedrooms is tastefully appointed and enjoys a view of the gardens and surrounding valley.  Two large bathrooms with tubs and showers are also located upstairs. Villa Mandorlo has its own private drive with ample parking spaces.

A swimming pool, shared with nearby La Ginestra, is open from May 15 to September 30. In-villa cooking services can be arranged, or daily meals can be taken at the trattoria at the nearby La Ginestra.  A gardener cares for the grounds.
