Greve
in Chianti is one of those unique destinations in the beautiful countryside
of Tuscany. Specialty shops offering everything from handmade linens to the
best salami in Italy line the quiet piazzas and cobbled streets. Chianti Classico by the glass or the bottle or the case is the house wine here.
Directly across the magnificent town square from this villa is located the
famous Macelleria Falorni, specializing in the local “Cinta Sinese” wild
pork.
Villa Valoriani enjoys a
spectacular view of the central piazza from its spacious deck. Located above
the owner’s extraordinary linen shop, the spacious flat accommodates four to
six in two bedrooms and two full baths. The spacious entrance hall contains
a double sofa bed for extra guests. The large country kitchen is completely
equipped and has a large refrigerator/freezer as well as a small
refrigerator, gas stovetop with four burners, electric oven, dishwasher and
a large dining table and French doors opening onto the terrace. The formal
living room enjoys a magnificent Tuscan fireplace surrounded by smart and
comfortable sofas and chairs. An attractive dining area is set near the
rear terrace doors. Throughout, beautiful terracotta floors complement a
nice selection of Italian furniture. There are two large bedrooms, one
with a matrimoniale bed, and one with twin beds, and two bathrooms, one with
stall shower and one with tub and separate shower. There is a laundry room
with washing machine.
There are several fine Tuscan restaurants and
excellent wineries in the area. An abundance of good shops and a
supermarket are in the vil lage.
Florence, San Gimignano and Siena are within easy driving distance.
