La Bouganville - E22

La Bouganville is located in Monterosso, the first and most accomodating of the Cinque Terre villages. This a very spacious flat for up to 6 in 3 bedrooms and 3 baths which takes up the entire fourth floor (no elevator) of a seafront building in the heart of the town.  Frequently featured in local postcards and brochures, an old bouganvilla vine covered with brilliant purple flowers climbs the front of the building.

High ceilings and cool tile floors are complemented by large tall windows and white walls througout the apartment.  Upon entering, to the right is the spacious living room that is very tastefully furnished with two comfortable couches and two arm chairs.  The tall living room windows look over the sandy beach out to the blue Mediterraean.  Just off of the living room is the dining area with seating for 6 that also has a wonderful view.  A completely equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, stove top and gas oven and a bathroom with a shower that was remodelled in 2002 complete this wing of the apartment.   To the left of the entrance is the bedroom area and a small terrace with a nice view and cooling breezes.  There are two bedrooms with two singles each ( can be joined into doubles upon request) and one bedroom with a double bed.  There are also two other bathrooms in this wing, one with a half tub and hand held shower and the other with a tub. There is a motorized platform in the staircase for transporting wheelchairs.

La Bouganville is the perfect location for those wishing to be IN the CinqueTerre.  Restaurants, shopping, train station, parking lot, and  beach clubs are all within easy walking distance.  Monterosso is about an hour by train from either Genoa or Pisa, and the airports of either of those cities are particularly convenient for getting to the property.  Upon request special hiking tours, sailing, or fishing excursions can be organized.  The town is ideal for exploring the other Cinque Terre  villages as well as other attractive towns such as Portofino, Santa Margherita, Camogli and Portovenere either by train or by the many boats which depart a short walk from the apartment.
