Villa Ferrari - E11

Villa Ferrari, a comfortable family summer home for eight, is set in a country estate of vineyards and forests within walking distance of a charming small village. From the spacious grounds there are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the village below.  A charming gazebo offers a delightful spot for morning coffee.  The meadows around the two story 19^th century villa are nicely equipped with comfortable furnishings for al fresco dining or just relaxing.  Many hiking trails run through these hills and guests who come in September can participate in the grape harvest on the property.

The entrance foyer with beautiful stained glass doors and paintings by local artists leads to a large living room/dining room with a large corner fireplace and comfortable furnishings. The ceiling frescoes in this room date back to the beginning of the 1900’s. The fully equipped kitchen (gas oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine) opens to the back yard where there is an authentic pizza oven and a dining area with umbrellas for shade.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms, - a master bedroom with a king size bed, a substantial double bedroom with a small balcony, a double bedroom and a room with two singles, all with views of the countryside.   There is also a small room with bunk beds for children (or storing the suitcases).  There are two full bathrooms on this floor.  One has a bath tub and a hand held shower and the other, recently completely renovated, has a shower and a hairdryer.

The home is furnished throughout with comfortable summer pieces and some nice antique furnishings that give the home a certain charm.  The bedrooms in particular have a cosy and romantic feel with antique lace pieces, wall hangings, and Persian rugs.  A large screen TV is available for viewing.

Villa Ferrari is ideally located for touring the Cinque Terre, the Italian Riviera, Liguria and enjoying the Italian countryside.  It is also particularly suited to those wanting open space and fresh air. Guests can walk to the village for a morning latte or espresso and within a few minutes drive there are several nice restaurants.  The possibilities for day trips are many as the Autostrada entrance is only about a fifteen minute drive from the villa  and the road just beneath the villa leads to the Cinque Terre.
