Apartments Venere 1 and 2 - E12/E13

Apartments Venere 1 and 2 are conveniently situated in the romantic medieval village of Portovenere.  Vistas of Mediterranean seas and Michelangelo skies, easy walks to restaurants and local trattorie serving absolutely fresh seafood and Italy’s best pesto, shopping in  the 12^th century borgo,  make a stay here an experience of the real Italy.  The temperate climate, the sunwashed ancient buildings, the colourful harbour with fishing boats and pleasure craft as well as the ease of access to the famous Cinque Terre and the pleasures of Northern Tuscany still attract painters and poets just as they did when Byron and Shelly roamed this area over a century ago. 

Venere 1 is a two bedroom apartment for four, located on the second floor of a modern building, The charming and quiet neighbourhood is just a few blocks from the original 12^th century  village center and overlooks the harbor.  It has a private garage, most important in a village where all street parking requires payment.   The large living dining area is comfortably furnished and opens to a small balcony with breathtaking views.  Furnishings include a dining table seating six, a sofa and two upholstered chairs. There is also a stereo/CD player and a television.   There is a small, recently renovated kitchen with new appliances including a stove top, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and American coffee maker.  The front bedroom with double bed enjoys a large window and a spectacular view.  The quiet back bedroom has two twin size beds which can be made up as a double.  The bathroom has a bath tub with a hand held shower  and new washing machine.

Venere 2, a two bedroom apartment for four, is located on the fourth floor in the building next door and has an assigned parking space in a gated area in front of the building.  There is no elevator.  The apartment has been completely renovated recently and is finished in warm and sunny hues, new upholstered seating and delightful painted case pieces.  The living dining area is spacious and light filled.  The new kitchen appliances include a stove with oven, microwave, a good sized refrigerator, and dishwasher.  The back bedroom contains twin beds which can be made into a double.  The front bedroom which has French doors to the balcony has a double bed.  There is a bathroom with a tub and hand held shower and washing machine.

There is a grocery store, newsstand and pharmacy within 500 feet at the end of the narrow lane running in front of the buildings, the old borgo (center) of Portovenere is only a five minute walk.  Boat service for the Cinque Terre and Lerici is at the main dock which is also only a five minute walk.  This is a fabulous location for a group of up to 8 persons who want the convenience and charm of a picturesque Italian village, secure parking and easy access to major roads for day trips.
