Open Letter to our Friends
Dear
Friends,
We
want to thank all of you who continued your fall travel plans in spite
of the tragedy of September 11. Special
thanks to our good friends, our Italian owners and agents, who
immediately responded to our clients' interrupted arrival and departure
plans with hospitality and understanding.
During recent weeks we have been truly touched by the outpouring
of concern and support from all over Italy.
The hand of friendship is indeed long and comforting in uncertain
times.
Naturally,
many of you planning future trips are anxious about travel safety
issues. We would like to
assure you that your Italian hosts are eager to share their country and
their homes with you.
It
has been difficult to maintain a sense of perspective about what is
really important when our world has been turned upside down.
Perhaps the Italian emphasis on family, friends and the sharing
of food and wine can help restore that universal focus which seems sadly
lacking in our lives today. In
Italy, nothing is more important than the table, laden with the harvest
of the countryside, surrounded by the warmth and companionship of amici
e familie.
Among
our most precious memories of our many visits to Italy are the wonderful
meals shared with friends. In
tiny country villages from Liguria to Lazio we have experienced rest and
renewal in the midst of laughter, spirited conversation and genuine
hospitality. Away from the
care, congestion and confusion of the larger world we have been
privileged to share the table of an Italian host.
We hope that you experience that same sense of contentment and
peace during your travels.
Amidst
all of the confusion of today, our goal remains the same:
to ensure that all of our clients experience the real Italy.
Please
enjoy these pages, visit us often and call or email us with your
questions.
Judy,
Larry, Kathy and Scott Haase
