 Il
Mulinello is a lovely, romantic hideaway for two in an idyllic
setting, perched over a babbling river that soothes you to sleep at night
and calms you during the day. There is an enchanting garden with a paved
courtyard and hidden patios and wide steps leading directly into the crystal
clear waters of the river, ideal for a cooling dip on hot sunny days. From
the house and garden, there are breath-taking views of the lush, verdant
mountains of the Parco delle Apuane national park.
Il Mulinello is spacious and bright, with large windows,
high-beamed ceilings, and dazzling low voltage light fixtures. Upstairs
there is a large bedroom with queen sized bed, comfortably furnished living
and dining area, well equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with tub and handheld
shower. Downstairs, there is a sitting area and a large bathroom, with a
walk-in shower (big enough for two) and a washing machine. An arched
doorway leads to the patios and the river.
 Parking is convenient and the wonderful Locanda Del Lucido restaurant is a
short walk from the house, just across the river. In fact, within 1/2
mile, there are 6 wonderful country restaurants from which to choose!
Il Mulinello,
is one kilometer from both Equi Terme and Monzone, each of which offer a
variety of shops and restaurants. Il Mulinello is situated in the Lunigiana
area of northern Tuscany. Florence, Pisa, Lucca, the marble fields of
Carrara, and the Cinque Terre are within easy driving distance.
The
house was completely refurbished and remodeled in 2005 and is reserved for
adult, non-smoking guests. |
